OCZMA serves local elected officials on the Oregon Coast.  OCZMA is a clearinghouse of objective information on issues relating to the Oregon Coast—this information is then shared with the state and federal government.  OCZMA conducts studies on the Oregon Coast's economy and carries out applied research to improve the standard of living in the region.  Through our extensive network of local government officials and many other partners, OCZMA gives voice to the concerns and needs of coastal residents.

OCZMA Solicitation of Interest (SOI) for Coordination/Management Services

The Oregon Coastal Zone Management Association (OCZMA) welcomes letters of interest by individuals or organizations to provide Coordination/Management Services to the Association beginning July 1, 2015.

Services include overall management and leadership for an Association of local coastal governments—counties, cities, ports and soil and water conservation districts—established in 1976.  Specific activities will be dependent on needs of the association, qualifications and availability of the contractor, and on financial resources.  The Association envisions resources—dues and contracts—for the fiscal year to be similar to the current year.  Financial services may be contracted separately.

Those interested should submit a two-page (maximum) letter to the Association by Close of Business, Friday, April 3, 2015, with the following information:   Why interest in this position; Qualifications related to this position; Potential areas of work to be performed and products; Anticipated availability, effort and compensation under this contract.

Letters of interest must be submitted to the OCZMA Executive Board in one of the following ways by Close of Business, Friday, April 3, 2015:

• U.S. Postal Service Mail:  OCZMA, P.O. Box 1033, Newport, Oregon 97365; Attention:  OCZMA Executive Board

* Email:  georgia@oczma.org

• Fax:  541-265-5241; Attention:  OCZMA Executive Board

Submissions will be reviewed by the Executive Board (confidential and Executive Session only) at its Friday, April 10, 2015 meeting in Newport, Oregon and will report the results at the Association's April 10, 2015 meeting.  A Final decision will be made by the Executive Board by April 28, 2015.  Interviews with interested parties may be conducted by Executive Board members.

Information on the Association can be found at oczma.org.  Interested parties may contact Georgia York, Executive Assistant, at the OCZMA office at 541-265-8918 or by email at georgia@oczma.org.

OCZMA did a membership survey in early 2013 listing identified survey questions and asking OCZMA members to identify those issues of importance to OCZMA with ranking of importance of each of the identified survey questions.  A copy of the OCZMA Membership survey results can be downloaded below to help in guiding folks as they prepare a SOI for these services.

OCZMA is an equal employment opportunity employer (EEO).

The Official Solicitation of Interest (SOI) for Coordination/Management Services to the Association can be downloaded below.

Note:  All statements of interest and hiring discussions will be confidential.
