What's New at OCZMA?
For 30 years OCZMA has been proudly serving Oregon's coastal communities - representing the entire Oregon Coast, from Brookings to Astoria.
Starting in July OCZMA entered into a management agreement with the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) to support administration, operations, and policy issues. Over the past few months, the Executive Board has been meeting regularly with AOC to discuss managing a diverse membership organization, and the ways in which we can have a productive and effective partnership.
The Executive Board is looking forward to engaging the membership in substantive discussions and activities. In the coming months, the Executive Board will be drafting a new vision statement and working on the current mission statement to bring to the annual membership meeting in July. In the meantime, we will keep you up-to-date on news about coastal issues and challenges we all face going forward.
If you have any timely and informative news items or announcements you think would be of interest to your fellow OCZMA members, please forward them to Mckenzie Farrell at AOC for inclusion in the next newsletter. We would appreciate your contributions and participation as we look to a productive future for OCZMA.
