Mission statement

OCZMA serves local elected officials on the Oregon Coast.  OCZMA is a clearinghouse of objective information on issues relating to the Oregon Coast—this information is then shared with the state and federal government.  OCZMA conducts studies on the Oregon Coast's economy and carries out applied research to improve the standard of living in the region.  Through our extensive network of local government officials and many other partners, OCZMA gives voice to the concerns and needs of coastal residents.

Ocean Policy/Marine Reserves/Wave Energy
Wave Energy/Marine Reserves/Ocean Planning Activities on the Oregon Coast

OCZMA is working with Oregon State University's (OSU) Sea Grant Extension program to carry out outreach on wave energy development on the Oregon Coast. Our main focus is on providing objective information so coastal residents can understand what’s going on and track current events. OCZMA is working closely with local ocean planning groups that have formed on the Oregon Coast to address wave energy and marine reserve issues.
